Attorney_Kaleigh-Ryder friendly smileWe are proud to share that our own Kaleigh Ryder, a workers’ compensation attorney at Schmidt Kramer, has been featured in Widener University Commonwealth Law School’s alumni spotlight. This feature is a well-deserved honor recognizing her remarkable journey and contributions to the legal profession.

A Journey Worth Celebrating

Kaleigh’s path to becoming an attorney is truly inspiring. As a young mother attending law school, she managed her studies at Widener Commonwealth while raising her daughter, demonstrating extraordinary determination and resilience.

A lifelong resident of the Harrisburg area, Kaleigh attended Central Dauphin High School before earning her undergraduate degree from Lebanon Valley College. Her decision to remain local for law school reflects her commitment to staying connected to the community that shaped her — a community she now proudly serves.

Since graduating in 2020, Kaleigh has built an impressive career in workers’ compensation law, bringing a unique perspective shaped by experience on both sides of these cases. Her early work representing insurance carriers gave her invaluable insight that now strengthens her advocacy for injured workers.

Why Her Background Matters for Injured Workers

Kaleigh’s experience representing both employers and employees in workers’ compensation cases gives her a strategic advantage that directly benefits injured workers. She understands how insurance adjusters evaluate claims and what factors influence settlement decisions. Kaleigh is also extremely competent at navigating the complexities of the Pennsylvania’s workers’ compensation system. This comprehensive knowledge allows her to build stronger cases and secure better outcomes for workers facing lost wages, mounting medical bills, and uncertain futures after workplace injuries.

Leading and Teaching in the Legal Community

Beyond her practice, Kaleigh has emerged as a leader in Harrisburg’s legal community. As President of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Dauphin County Bar Association, she dedicates herself to educating and mentoring fellow attorneys, conducting training sessions on the complexities of workers’ compensation law.

Her passion for teaching continues to grow, with aspirations to become an adjunct professor and introduce future attorneys to this vital area of practice. Kaleigh also continues to actively serve her hometown by volunteering in local schools.

Congratulations, Kaleigh!

This recognition from Widener Commonwealth Law School honors not just Kaleigh’s professional achievements, but her dedication to empathy-driven advocacy and community service. We’re proud to work alongside such an accomplished attorney and grateful for the passion and expertise she brings to her clients every day.
