About Elana D. Schnall

Elana D. Schnall grew up in Abington, Pennsylvania, and earned her degree in Crime, Law, and Justice from Pennsylvania State University in 2012. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2016. While in law school, she served as Senior Management Editor of the Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jill Rangos in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
Elana’s practice is dedicated to representing patients and families in medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Before joining Schmidt Kramer, Elana practiced in Central Pennsylvania, focusing on municipal law and general civil litigation. She represented municipal entities in a wide range of civil, appellate, and administrative matters. In addition, Elana previously defended healthcare and long-term care providers in medical malpractice cases throughout Pennsylvania. Her defense experience gives her valuable insight into defense strategies, allowing her to anticipate challenges and advocate effectively for those who have been injured.
Outside of her legal practice, Elana enjoys spending time with family (including her cat), exploring local trails, and cheering on Penn State athletics.
