- December 2024 Newsletter – In the Schmidt Kramer December 2024 Newsletter, we highlight several exciting updates and accomplishments including attorney Scott Cooper sharing his expertise as a featured speaker at a host of events during October, an update on the firm’s 37th Annual UCP Golf Tournament – raising $25,000 for UCP of Central Pennsylvania and, our participation in the Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive, with donations accepted until December 11, 2024. Within the firm, our team celebrated Halloween with a costume contest and we surprised Noemi with a baby shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her baby girl!
- October 2024 Newsletter – Our fall 2024 newsletter is out and we have some cool highlights to share! To start things off, partner Scott Cooper was selected for inclusion as a National Trial Lawyers Top 100 List for Civil Plaintiff Lawyers. We want to share some personal milestones as well! A big shout-out to Matthew Christopher, son of attorney Daryl Christopher, on being one of six winners of the Derry Township summer reading challenge! We also celebrated with paralegal Martha Wickelhaus on the two-month anniversary of her first granddaughter. Finally, we want to remind everyone of our upcoming annual golf tournament at the Harrisburg Country Club in support of UCP Central Pennsylvania.
- August 2024 Newsletter – The August edition of our newsletter highlights Partner Scott Cooper winning the Mr. DCBA contest hosted by the Dauphin County Bar Association’s Astonishing Advocates Campaign. The Astonishing Advocates Campaign has collectively raised $51,313.12. Cooper was also a featured speaker at the 44th Annual Big Auto Seminar in May. He talked about uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and bad faith insurance issues. We also welcome our newest attorney Kaleigh M. Ryder, a Harrisburg native who attended high school and college here. Kaleigh has practiced workers’ compensation law since 2021. Our firm also sponsored the Hershey Bears professional hockey team in the 2024 Calder Cup Finals.
- June 2024 Newsletter – The June edition of the Schmidt Kramer newsletter discusses Partner Scott Cooper arguing in front of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on behalf of a client who was denied insurance coverage. Cooper also spoke at the Dispute Resolution Institute about Pennsylvania Auto Insurance. Our partners attended the retirement of Judge John F. Cherry, who was elected to the bench in November 1999. We also featured our new law clerk, Grace Mills, who is participating in the Dauphin County Bar Foundation’s “We Care About Children Campaign”. The newsletter highlights our contribution to the community by sponsoring the Cumberland Valley Youth Baseball team.
- April 2024 Newsletter – This edition of the newsletter covers Scott Cooper being reappointed to the Dauphin County Bar Association Board of Directors and re-elected as Chair of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board. Daryl Christopher was elected a shareholder of the firm and won Best Chili at the chili cookoff at Derry Presbyterian Church. Dennis Kergick, Gerry Kramer and Scott Cooper went to the Dauphin County Bar Association Annual President’s Gala on February 10 at Hershey Hotel.
- February 2024 Newsletter – This edition includes the presentation of the UCP Life Without Limits Award at the UCP Central PA’s 70th Anniversary celebration dinner. It also includes highlights from the 2023 Toys for Tots drive. Other exciting news in this edition is the announcement that our firm is accepting applications for the Schmidt Kramer Annual Scholarship for Academic Excellence! Last but not least, be sure to check out our news about the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Joint and Several Liability Program in 2024.
