June 2025 Newsletter – Professional Achievements and Community Impact

June NewsletterThis spring brought exceptional recognition for our team’s professional excellence. Attorney Kaleigh Ryder earned prestigious recognition as a 2025 Super Lawyers Rising Star, highlighting her outstanding work in workers’ compensation law since 2021. As President of the Workers’ Compensation Section for the Dauphin County Bar Association, Kaleigh continues to demonstrate leadership in her field.

Partner Scott Cooper expanded his influence in the legal community through multiple speaking engagements. In April, he appeared as a guest on “The Plaintiff’s Playbook” podcast hosted by Charlie Webb. Later that month, Scott presented on Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage at the Personal Injury Potpourri in Philadelphia, addressing approximately 500 trial lawyers during an afternoon session. Scott also contributed to legal education by participating in a mock trial event at Alvernia University, mentoring aspiring attorneys.

Community Engagement and Giving Back

Our June newsletter also highlights some of the ways our firm gives back to the community. We proudly sponsored the Senior Lawyers’ Happy Hour hosted by the Dauphin County Bar Association in March and supported local arts education by sponsoring The Little Mermaid production at Lily Burris’ school.

Our team members actively participated in meaningful community initiatives. Legal intake specialist Claudia Hofsass joined Hershey Bears players and assistant coach Nick Bootland for a golf event with students from Milton Hershey Middle School and High School. In April, our firm contributed to the Casey Cares Foundation’s pajama drive for children battling life-threatening illnesses, successfully collecting 17,062 pairs of pajamas.

Celebrating Personal Milestones

We take great pride in celebrating our team members’ personal achievements and family successes. Law clerk Grace Mills, alongside her classmate Maia Mash, won the annual Hugh B. Pearce Internal Competition and represented Widener University Commonwealth Law School in a prestigious trial advocacy competition.

Claudia Hofsass experienced exceptional pride as both her daughters achieved remarkable milestones. Her youngest daughter, Brooke, graduated magna cum laude from Lock Haven University with a 3.8 GPA, serving as captain of the Division 1 field hockey team in the A-10 Conference. Brooke’s four-year athletic and academic excellence exemplifies dedication and leadership. Claudia’s eldest daughter, Bri, participated in the exclusive Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special. She was invited due to her previous involvement in the NBC Page Program, following her graduation from Temple University.

Attorney Kaleigh Ryder traveled to the U.K. to support her boyfriend Sam in the Roses Competition for Lancaster University, celebrating his team’s victory over York. Additionally, Kaleigh enjoyed watching her daughter, Ciara, perform in her school music concert on May 21st.

These achievements reflect our firm’s culture of excellence, community service, and support for one another’s personal and professional growth.
