Recently, Attorney Scott Cooper had the opportunity to participate with Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice P. Kevin Brobson in a mock trial. This educational event took place at Alvernia University and was conducted by some of the school’s aspiring legal professionals.
Teaching The Litigators of Tomorrow
The purpose of the mock trial is to give Alvernia students the ability to experience the dynamics of a “real-world” courtroom, something you definitely cannot get from a textbook. The students who participated were expected to prepare and present their cases in the trial, which was presided over by Justice Brobson.
Our very own Scott Cooper, who has argued more than 20 cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court during his extensive legal career joined in with some valuable advice. The collaboration between Alvernia University, Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court, and Schmidt Kramer exemplifies the power of partnership in legal education. By bringing together academic instruction and professional experience, todays students are better equipped for a more successful legal career tomorrow!
