Cumberland County Car Accident Injured Newburg Woman

One person was injured in a crash September 8, 2012 on Ridge Road in Southampton Township (Cumberland County). Police said Darrell R. Burkholder, 35, Chambersburg, was driving west on Ridge Road when he tried to turn into the driveway of 994 Ridge Rd. His Chevy S10 crossed into the path of a Dodge Caravan driven by Virginia M. Rauber, 50, Newburg.
Burkholder’s truck came to a rest in the driveway, while Rauber’s vehicle veered off the roadway and traveled through the property of 994 Ridge Rd. before side-swiping two utility poles.
Burkholder was not injured in the crash. Rauber was transported from the scene by EMS with moderate injuries.
