Truck And Car Accident In Lancaster Sends 2 To Hospital – Could Truck Driver Have Prevented The Accident?

Are truck drivers careful enough when making turns?  Should they be extra vigilant?

A crash involving a tractor-trailer sent two people to the hospital last night in Lancaster city.  Police and fire officials said the tractor-trailer was traveling east on East Chestnut Street in the right lane and preparing to make a left turn onto North Plum Street. As it turned, the truck collided with a sedan that was traveling next to the truck in the left lane.  The male driver of the truck and female driver of the car were taken to Lancaster General Hospital with injuries.
