Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg are reporting that six people were injured in a crash last weekend in Peters Township, including one person who was flown to York Hospital. The crash around 11:05 p.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of Lemar Road. Police said Alexx Sheffield was driving north on Lemar Road when his vehicle struck a utility pole. There were five passengers in the vehicle: Marita Shaffer; Willard Massie; a 17-year-old boy from Ft. Loudon; a 17-year-old boy from Mercersburg; and a 15-year-old girl from Greencastle. According to police, speed appears to be a factor in the crash which remains under investigation.
