Posted on Jan 08, 2015

The Chambersburg Public Opinion is reporting about the Pennsylvania State Police search for two women who allegedly assaulted and threatened a woman and a juvenile with a baseball bat in a vehicle on Interstate 81 on Jan. 2.

At 4:12 p.m., a woman described as around 5’2″ and white, with black hair to her mid-back, swerved between two lanes of southbound Interstate 81, preventing a Chambersburg woman from passing, according to the report. As both vehicles approached mile marker 17.5, the suspect turned her car on a diagonal in the left lane of the interstate and got out. She was reportedly carrying a blue metal baseball bat and struck the driver’s side mirror and window. The suspect got back into her vehicle and then fled south.

A second woman in the report is described as a black female with black hair, but her role in the incident is not described.

The women are wanted for simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, according to the report.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call State Police, Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.
