A car crashed into a school bus while it was picking up students on Thursday, according to an article in the Public Opinion. A man was traveling North on Mercersburg Road when he rear-ended a school bus, causing the Chambersburg auto accident. The bus was pushed forward 32 feet, and the car came to rest with its hood under the rear-end of the bus.
The school bus was in the middle of its route when the car accident occurred, so only 13 students were on the bus. All the students were taken to the hospital, evaluated, treated, and released. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries in the Chambersburg auto accident and will be cited for careless driving.
