The Hazelton Standard Speaker is reporting about a man who was pronounced dead after a one-vehicle crash in Carbon County yesterday morning that also injured a second person. John Molosky, 68, Beaver Meadows, was dead at the scene while his passenger, Gloria P. Molosky, 67, Beaver Meadows,, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with serious injuries, according to state police at Hazleton.
Their vehicle, troopers said, was southbound on Route 93, also known as Berwick Street, when it traveled off the road and hit a tree. Tresckow Volunteer Fire Company Chief Joe Geusic said emergency responders were dispatched to the crash between 10 and 10:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of Route 93 in the Banks Township village of Coxeville, about one mile outside of Beaver Meadows Borough.
Geusic said the sedan appeared to have traveled through several yards in the area before crashing into a tree in someone’s lawn. He said the woman was flown to Cedar Crest from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Multiple emergency responders assisted at the crash, including Weatherly, Beaver Meadows and McAdoo fire companies, along with American Patient Transport Systems, Inc.
Troopers said they continue to investigate the crash.
