Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ) Future Leaders attended the PA Progressive Summit last Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Harrisburg Hilton. The Summit attracted more than 500 people representing Pennsylvania labor and trade unions, campaign workers, and progressive groups. It presented our volunteers with a tremendous opportunity to talk to prospective jurors about civil justice issues and inform them about our End Distracted Driving project. Anyone who completed our advocacy contact form received a copy of “Hot Coffee.”
The Summit featured workshops on advocacy and drew speakers from around the country. Our President, Scott Cooper, and PAJ member Matt Monroe of Philadelphia participated on a panel program with state Rep. Brandon Neuman (Washington Co.) on holding corporations accountable. This is the second year that PAJ has participated as a Summit Organizer.
