Tom Cook graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1978. Since 1980, he has represented injured workers in Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability cases. In 1987, Pennsylvania Governor Robert P. Casey appointed Mr. Cook to be the Director of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers' Compensation. From 1987 to 1991, Tom supervised the entire workers' compensation system in Pennsylvania, including hiring judges, supervising insurance companies and self-insured employers, and making the litigation process quicker.
Mr. Cook is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He was also selected for inclusion in 2010 and 2011 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®.
Mr. Cook published a law review article in the 1986 Notre Dame Law Review on workers' compensation psychiatric claims and has taught workers' compensation practice and procedure at Temple and Widener Law Schools. He also wrote a book for doctors on workers compensation reimbursement published by the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
