An 87-year-old woman from Dalmatia, Northumberland County, was taken to Harrisburg Hospital Saturday Morning after she was knocked to the ground when a car struck her shopping cart in front of an entrance to the Walmart store in Washington Township, Dauphin County.
State police said Angela R. Koons, 38, of Lykens, was making a left had turn around 10:30 a.m. when her 2006 Saturn Relay struck the woman's cart, causing it to flip over and knocking down Mabel H. Starr. Starr was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of a head injury. Police described her injury as minor. Koons, and the three children in her car, were not hurt.
