Two people were taken Saturday to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center after the car they were riding in struck a vehicle trying to make a left turn on Doubling Gap Road in Lower Mifflin Township, Cumberland County.

State police said Christina K. Schlusser, 40, of Shermans Dale, Perry County, and Katelyn M. Storm, 4, of Newville, were passengers in a southbound 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Joseph Storm, 39, of Newville, when it struck a northbound 2002 Chrevrolet Blazer driven by Robert W. Bell Jr., 24, of Harrisburg., as Bell tried to make a left turn on to Center Road.

Joseph Storm, and a third passenger in his vehicle, Ryan C. Schlusser, 14, of Newville, were not injured, police said. Bell, and a passenger in his car, Ronald M. Snyder, 45, of Selairk, New York, were also uninjured. Police did not release details of the extent of any of the injuries suffered by Christina Schlusser or Katelyn Storm.

Police said Bell will be cited for making an improper turn.
