A trial attorney since 2009, Joe Chapman helped individuals navigate the insurance system since 1996. Joe concentrates his law practice to protect the rights of patients who were injured by medical providers and nursing homes. He is also an experienced advocate for Schmidt Kramer's clients who were seriously injured in car accidents.
Joe has worked at Schmidt Kramer since 2007. He tried and arbitrated cases to judgment for Plaintiffs in Dauphin County, and settled cases throughout central Pennsylvania. Presently, he is a member of the bars in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Union/Snyder Counties. Joe continues to hone the skills needed to secure compensation for injured patients, drivers, and those in the care of others; through the training and work he does through the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (Pa. Trial Lawyers Association) and its medical malpractice and future leaders committees. Joe is a member of the Inn of Court of Cumberland County, a group of attorneys in Cumberland County dedicated to improving themselves through education. He was selected for inclusion in 2011 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Stars.
Joe works, pro bono, in Dauphin County for those who cannot afford legal representation, and he received special recognition by opposing counsel and a Dauphin County Judge for the professional nature of his representation in a custody case. Joe volunteered his time in the Wills for Heroes program, in which first responders, emergency personnel, police officers, fire fighters, and military personnel have simple wills drafted with no charge.
Joe and his family live in Susquehanna Township in Dauphin County, and he coaches in the Susquehanna Soccer Club and the Susquehanna Township Youth Basketball Association. He attends the Living Hope Church, in Susquehanna Township. He was born and raised in Union County, Pennsylvania, owned an insurance agency in Mifflinburg, PA, and served his community though non-profit organizations. Joe received his bachelor's degree in history from Eastern Nazarene College in 1995, and graduated cum laude from the Widener University School of Law in 2008.
