A 10-year-old boy was seriously hurt when he was struck by an out-of-control vehicle during a crash Wednesday in Lancaster Township.
Officials said the child was riding a scooter on the sidewalk in front of 1115 E. King St. when he was hit just before 2:15 p.m.
Family members scooped up the boy and drove him to Lancaster General Hospital, where he remained in serious condition Wednesday night, according to Manheim Township police Sgt. Jeff Jones. No one knows why the car travelled off of the road and hit him.
