Police In Chambersburg, Pennsylvania Investigating Pedestrian Accident

March 23, 2012 – According to reports from the Chambersburg Public Opinion, a 14-year-old boy remains in intensive care after he was hit by a pickup truck March 21, 2012 on Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg. The paper reports that a ninth grade student at Chambersburg Area Senior High School underwent surgery after he was flown to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
The name of the student has not been released but we do know that officers responded at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday March 21, 2012 to the pedestrian crash in the 600 block of Lincoln Way East. The boy was hit by a white Ford F-150 while he was crossing at Sixth Street. He was taken by ambulance to nearby Chambersburg Hospital, then flown by helicopter to Hershey. Members of the Chambersburg Police Major Accident Reconstruction Team responded to investigate, according to a police statement. No further information was released.
